I mainly use it with a WiFi card to check email without having to use the desktop and wherever I am in the house. One advantage of doing it before checking email with Outlook is that I get rid of the viruses and spam easily. I have a GPS CF card working fine, but I have found three problems when using it with the Jornada: - the metallic case seems to filter out the satellite signals. If I want a decent reception I have to use the external antenna. I have tried the same GPS CF card in a Dell Axim and it worked without the externall antenna really well. - the screen is not visible on sunny light. - the memory is too low to load any commonly available bitmap based map. Vector streets maps might be okay. I thought I could use it to take notes on talks, but I'm too slow compared to hand writing on paper. Then I got the Stowaway foldable keyboard, which is a nice thing, but haven't used it much really since you need a flat surface to put it on. It could be a nice replacement for a laptop to send/receive email on trips, connecting through the cell via a Bluetooth CF card. Sadly, the majority of the latest software/drivers is for ARM based CPUs. Something important to check before buying add-on cards...
