Hit send too soon... You may want to buy the upgrade module for two reasons -- first it makes keeping the PSP firmware up to date easy and second, you have to upgrade to it to use a more recent version of MPLAB. It's up to version 6.5 or 6.6 something by now. You may even want to start looking at some of the newer flash parts too. They are cheaper than the c715, more features and reusable.
