I made it out my my local RS this evening as well and there was no
indication of the sale posted in the store.  However, when I checked
the current sales flyer on the counter I saw that they did give a
quarter-page too notice.

My experience was quite similar.  I had already been planning a rather
substantial stocking order, and once you are in for the initial
shipping the cost of a few more items is trivial.
