My father was in the RNZ Navy and transferred to the RN, then
the family moved back to NZ when he left the RN. I was born in
Chatham (where my mother's family is) and spent my formative
years in the naval bases along the south coast of England. Chatham,
Devonport/Saltash, Gosport/Portsmouth
