Hi Dave

Which one from Tony Nixons are you looking at? I am interested in the
Kit150. There is apparently now a version 2.

I also had endless problems with the P16Pro. I even borrowed a friend's
one that works, and have the same problem. I read some where it has to
do with onboard Parallel ports. I have two machine's both with onboard
ports and both don't work....

I tried it briefly on the 2K machine but between the 3.3vdc and having a

permissions error I quickly gave up and have just been trying to get it

Well I am hoping I can get this P16Pro sorted out and stable again. It
just 
programs too
many pic and others to toss in the bin. I won a new unused Picstart Plus
on 
ebay this
AM for the grand sum of $10 but that will be a few weeks before it gets 
here so I am thinking
of getting one of Tony Nixons USB/serial programmers which looks like it

does everything
the P16Pro did and more including the 10F's !!

The real puzzling part is that I did not smell even a tiny wiff of smoke
so 
I know I didn't
let any out of anything ;-]
