Try passing on the right to see how polite they are. ;-) I got yelled at in Germany (by some passer-by) for jaywalking, which is something we don't even think about doing in Toronto (we just watch out for the cab drivers who learned to drive a few months earlier in Mogadishu or whatever, the kamikaze bicycle couriers and other natural hazards).
