Individually illuminated drawers and shelves (CCFL, LED arrays.)
EL-highlighted edges and corners (EL wire, tape.)
Decals (biohazard, radiation hazard, alien, Kells, etc.)
Sound-activated multi-color LED arrays.
UV lights and "UV Active" plastics.
Clear panels and odd cutouts...

The whole "case mod" thing for PCs is ... interesting.  I don't see
why it couldn't go well beyond the computer case!

BTW, I was thinking just the other night that the case mod market is
seriously missing the usb-based LED array; Something moderately flat
with a bunch of LEDs that can be accessed via USB and programmed to
show something more useful than the average case mod.  CPU load, network
traffic histograms, etc...
