I had this bright idea yesterday when the bottom fell out of a box of
old steppers. Ouch. Why does nothing fall on my tootsies when I'm
wearing steel boots but .......

Make a cabinet that looks like a big PC. The drawer fronts are made
to resemble CD units (wouldn't be too hard) and are motorised. The
sides of the cabinet are doors that open to reveal shelves inside. Could
include LEDs and beeps too, even a fan if you need one in summer
