Garrgghh.. I'm still not satisfied. I've spend a while web crawling, and in bookstores, looking for something that might be applicable to "guys like us"... AFAICT, TANST. I'm getting a little fed up with "industrial ugly", and I'm very fed up with all the cutesy "home office organizer" ideas that end up being totally trivial, like "different bookshelves".. :-P I'm looking for something with a sense of style, yet inexpensive. My personal tates run somewhere between Art Deco, Cubist, and Modern (50's-40's). Of course the projects and parts won't conform to this, and I'm a realist, those plastic drawers for parts are pretty much ideal.. But why can't our workspaces be visually interesting and appealing as well? Part of it, I guess, is that I don't have the artistic flair to come up with this on my own, and also of course, I don't have a $10,000 budget to decorate. It's a couple orders of magnitude less.. :) I have decided on one thing, I want to use a big, somewhat nasty looking open ceramic and copper knife switch to control the room lights! _______________________________________________ http://www.piclist.com View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
