Before you spring for the real thing, have a look at the two clones=20 available. The Olimex version sells for about US $99, the other sells fo= r=20 about half of that but lacks the USB port (serial only). The only glitch I've heard about is that the ICD2 can't program every PIC= =20 device - don't recall which devices nor what the reason is.
