Lockpicking just came up on slashdot and the topic of the kryptonite locks 
also.  Many folks said they had little trouble opening them; Adams post 
looks to be right on the money.

Following up with some of the suggested links on /. shows that most locks 
can be easily opened as well.  So the long and the short of it is that no, 
the sky is not falling. It has already fallen.

As for me, I'll stick to lox and bagels.
