Nobody really wants to compete with something that retails for $29.90 and includes custom glass lcd, rx/tx, two microprocessors, two plastic molded cases and other stuff. There is a pretty good chance that all you need is a friend with a spectrum analyzer or tune-through UHF radio to get at the data stream. In fact 433 MHz is close enough to the 432 MHz (ex ?) amateur band (or rather, *in* it). By the way, what's the status of the 432 MHz amateur band now ?
