I have a Magellan Field Pro V GPS (1992 vintage) that was donated to a club I'm a member of. They gave it to me to take a look at. I successfully pulled data off of it last night, but I've got no idea what format it's in. I was hoping it would spit out NMEA data or something. Alas, that was not the case. I've searched the internet forward and backward, and come up dry trying to identify this format. I'm hoping someone here might have an idea or two. Here's an example of what I retrieved: > These are my guesses > > TIME,LAT,LON,ALT [len=17] > +02.68459000491257E+05 [len=23] ;Time in gps week (secs) > +05.89388182162860E-01 [len=23] ;Lat (deg.) > -02.05972013353645E+00 [len=23] ;Long (deg.) > -02.16325244903564E+01 [len=23] ;Alt (m) elipsoid or sea level > SATS,SNR,GPSWK [len=15] > 26 08 11 07 [len=13] ;Sat numbers in fix > 0026 0070 0066 0052 [len=21] ;signal to noise for each sat respectively > 1286 [len=5] ;GPS week > PDOP [len=4] ;Position Dilution of Position (PDOP) > +02.75000000000000E+00 [len=23] ;PDOP > MODE 3D V2.0 [len=14] ;fix is 3D GPS time and week definitions you will have to google for. Time is something like seconds from Midnight Sun/Mon. Weeks is from Jan 1 1980, I believe. There is also a 13 second offset between gps and UTC. If Lat and Long don't make sense for your position look at factors of rad and pi.
