Your close, think smaller. I have seen CCFL tubes almost as small as a Q-tip (minus the cotton fuzz at the ends) and I'm sure they probally make them smaller. There is also this special Electro Illuminesenct film that I have used (whos name escapes me at the moment) that glows a nice blue simular to some watches I have seen.
