The Pebble Bed concept sounds excellent, but one would still want to be extremely cautious with the technology (james' enthisiasm for things nuclear notwithstanding). Note the AVR :-) Note the Windscale "accident" from neutron induced Wigner energy while annealing graphite to prevent exactly what they caused.
