Another thing that struck me about theese lead free solders: The best of them greatly outperforms leaded solder in thermal/mechanical stress, and I *believe* (somebdy have data?) that they are: o superior in heat transfer o lower electric resistance All of theese three are great benefits in power electronics :) Downside is more aging of the components during soldering at higher temperature...
