More like an option for a personal coracle on the Titanic. May have its
limitations but is vastly superior to the alternative when certain problems
arise.

If you read the comments towards the end you'll see that it allows people to
do all sorts of interesting things when Windows gives up in disgust or when
you don't want to use Windows at all.
