Until a few weeks ago, I never realized Microchip dabbled with DSP microcontrollers (with TI) nearly a decade (or so ? -- just a guess) before the dsPICs were on the drawing board. I wonder why they abandoned them back then? Perhaps it was economics, or the time was just not right, or...? Once again, thank for your previous response Bill.
