Yep, this is a motor start capacitor IMHO, and the capacitance should be = measured in microfarads, not nanofarads. It definitely should not be = shorted! =20 If I had to guess from the numbers I would guess 20uF. You may be able = to just plunk this down on the desk of an appliance repair or industrial = motor outfit and they will say, "Well, that looks like one of these". I = don't think the value of these is critical, nor are the consequences of = putting in the wrong capacitor.
