My dryer quit recently - wouldn't start spinning every few loads, and would sometimes stop spinning during a load. I disassembled it, found a bad drum support roller, and replaced both rollers, the belt, and the drum support slides on the front. Thinking all would be well, I assembled it and it has the same problem. If I start turning it by hand then it starts just fine. This all leads me to believe that the motor start capacitor is bad, though I don't have a lot of experience with AC motors so any other suggestions would be nice. The capacitor (I assume) in question is a small black 1cm x 2.5cm x 3.5cm plastic module with two leads. They are essentially shorted - 0.1 ohm, with a capacitance measured in nF. Markings: 9820 T-D-D 20MCD3KA 058 Another 058 is on another end of the package. I'd like to know if this is probably a capacitor, and what its value is likely to be, and whether the problems I'm experiencing are generally due to capacitor problems. Pictures can be found here http://ubasics.com/adam/cap/all.html about 7k for all of them. Thanks for your help! -Adam -- http://www.piclist.com#nomail Going offline?
