IMHO the rebuild-right is not relevant for embedded stuff, or better rephrase: for an embedded library to be usefull the (commercial) user of the library must not be bothered by it. Making a modified library public is not enforceable (nobody but the commercial user knows it exists), so I see no reason to claim it. The only thing I want to claim is that if a modified *source* is made available, it will be as free as the original.
