There's a certain advantage for a Java IDE to be written in Java, for the language interface. But any other application that's not a Java IDE or a Java editor or anything Java development related? You would think that with Linux gaining steam and Windows still on the market for the foreseeable future, something like OpenOffice would be an ideal candidate for Java.
