I'm looking for book recommendations in the area of power electronics design. Something that covers components such as thyristors, IGBTs, magnetics, etc. along with the design of high power solutions for applications such as motor control, ac lamp dimming, ac load switching, switch mode and linear power supplies, etc. I'm looking for both the theoretical side and the practical side to the problem. I'd don't expect one book will cover this all. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Amazon awaits my credit card! Thanks, Dave Challis Put your credit card away :-), The best references I've come accross are the reference manuals from ON semiconductor. Best part is thier free (though I think they're charging for shipping now) Head on over to http://www.onsemi.com/site/support/orderLiterature and check out the offerings. Looks like these might be of intrest: BIPOLAR POWER TRANSISTOR DATA R8 POWER MOSFETS R7 THYRISTOR DEVICE DATA R7 POWER CONVERSION SOLUTIONS SELECTOR GUIDE R4 SWITCHMODE(TM) POWER SUPPLY REFERENCE MANUAL R3 -Denny -- http://www.piclist.com hint: The PICList is archived three different ways.
