And the answer to one you didn't ask, just in case anyone's
running an older Windows and isn't up to speed with the latest
MPLAB -

MPLAB 6.40 is recommended for 98SE and up. I've a machine
with plain 98 that gives me such a warning whenever MPLAB is
started. It seems to be OK so far but I should upgrade ASAP
anyway
