The one that annoys me is big box stores, they always want your full address and phone number just to buy a case of CDRs. These days I no longer give any of that information, I get enough junk mail. They often start by asking: have you shopped here before. If you answer yes they ask for your telephone number (to look you up). I always answer yes, but add: but I don't want my details in your computer system. That usually causes the clerk to pause for a few seconds, and then realize they aren't getting my details. Call me paranoid, but I do it because I don't like receiving all that junk mail.
