Most of the websites found by a Google search for 'jack kilby invented jk flip-flop' either refer to or directly copy citations from FOLDOC (the Free On-Line Dictionary of Computing). I've corresponded with FOLDOC's owner, Denis Howe; he's removed from his dictionary the assertion that Jack Kilby invented the JK flip-flop and named it after himself... Although he still asks, parenthetically, whether those claims are true: http://wombat.doc.ic.ac.uk/foldoc/foldoc.cgi?JK+flip-flop http://wombat.doc.ic.ac.uk/foldoc/foldoc.cgi?Jack+Kilby -Andy === Andrew Warren -- aiw@cypress.com === Principal Design Engineer === Cypress Semiconductor Corporation === === Opinions expressed above do not === necessarily represent those of === Cypress Semiconductor Corporation -- http://www.piclist.com hint: To leave the PICList mailto:piclist-unsubscribe-request@mitvma.mit.edu
