I have managed to confuse myself completely and need a sanity check. I have been working on this circuit for a while now, and am nearly done with it. It's a front panel controller for my in car mp3 player. It will be ICSP'able using Wouter's WISP628. The part that has me totally confused this time is the part regarding MCLR. I figured out yesterday that I actually have to do something about it instead of setting a __CONFIG item. I got the circuit segment from Wouter's page but he simply has an unlabelled supply "lollypop" with the resistors and caps, I made the assumption that was VCC, and VPP should be attached directly to the pin. Which means the diode is forward biased between VPP and VCC which to me seems backwards. Could someone please explain to this poor software engineer why this is proper? The circuit in question can be found at http://cowshed.8m.com/car/inputs.html Thanks Anthony -- Anthony Toft -- http://www.piclist.com hint: The list server can filter out subtopics (like ads or off topics) for you.
