Hehe, I for one have at least an appreciation. I've dabbled in it for
a IR remote control to be used in a model sub (hobby project just to
see if it could be done).

I guess you have a lot of knowledge in this area; my main purpose was
to hopefully teach someone how to write an algorithm (I followed up
with another post). I don't know what possessed me. Maybe I need
a few more projects at work.
