Will do. For the moment I have a working logger that can take and
store measurements for a week and that's the priority, even if I
haven't appreciated every nuance of table addressing. It is important
that I do understand because part of another current project requires
that data from a PC be downloaded to the PIC and stored. It will need
full erase, write and read routines. You're correct - I did take selected
parts of the example in the manual (mostly omiting the erase because
flash will be cleared to FF before programming) and it's quite possible
that something in that erase routine affects the write part, which is 64
bytes in the manual vs just 8 for mine. I haven't the time to go through
that example in detail today, but experimenting will be done ASAP
