Hello, the point is whether u have a DOS or Windows version. CCS C uses a data base to store PICs data with a proprietary format. For the Windows version they give a program to extend this data base. There is a general program to list this data base entirely or for a given processor and it is called PICCHIPS.EXE. You may want to run the program and find out the differences between the processor you want to use and the processor they have. Select the most lookalike type of processor, and define e.g. new registers by appropriate #bit and #byte directives, AND: take a look to the appropriate processor's include file u have chosen as predecessor of your new processor type, make a copy from it changing the name appropriately, and make the necessary changes in it. This practice is simpler than I wrote. I use it and it works. There is no black magic. A hint: your predecessor and new processor type must have same or very similar data regarding only the data base, e. g. RAM size, ROM size etc. I hope this helps.
