OK - have refined the problem.
The application will ONLY run in full screen DOS
XP will only capture DOS screens from a non full screen window - at least on
the system I have tried it on.
WIN2K Pro works OK.
WIN98SE works OK.

I suspect the problem is insoluble without excess effort / delving.
