i had good luck with a high voltage divider i made (i think 60 10meg resistors in series and a shunt across the meter terminals, all on perfboard in a plastic box) that i potted in paraffin wax from the grocery store, so i think it would likely work for most low power electronics, but i doubt it conducts heat very well.
