Hi PICsters!!
I had a curious thought the other day, but since the local
grocery shop doesn't have the required apparatus for my
experiment, i thought i'll post it on the list.
here's what you'll need:
-an incredibly long and rigid rod. (all you sickos stop
giggling, this is a serious sience experiment)
-a friend in a distant galaxy

imagine the rod to be a few light years long, and very
rigid, and it has a pivot point somewhere in the middle. if
you push down on one end, wouldn't the other end move
immediatly??? what actually travels along the rod to move
the other end?? does anything travel at all?
