OK - I'm not trying to start anything - just an attempt at sardonic humor.

I am certain there are places in the US where such things would never
happen, just as I am certain there are places where much worse abuses
occur every day.  I'm not singling anyone/anyplace out, obviously. Just a
commentary on choosing one's battles -- pick the ones you have a chance of
winning.

BTW - I no longer live in that community, nor anywhere near it. I could
tell some other interesting stories of similar events in and around that
town, but why bother.  I left. Interestingly enough, the town in question
is 50 miles from the capital city of a major North Eastern state.
