Tony, Something like the DIN41612 may work for you as someone had already suggested. But those have a 2.54mm pin spacing and I don't know how much PCB real-estate you have for the connector. There are many other choices as well. Your best bet is to go to major manufacturers like FCI (http://ecatalog.fciconnect.com/fci/categories.asp?TreeID=3Dproduct_type)= and AMP (http://www.amp.com) and find out which connector suits your requirement the best. FCI used to have a 48 hour sample response time on their most popular connectors. Very helpful when you want to get quick samples. Once you find the connector that best suits your needs you can look for it at the usual suspects like http://www.digikey.com, http://www.ttiinc.com, http://www.mouser.com, and http://www.arrow.com (to name a few.) Your best bet may be to look in "PCB", "PCB stacking", and "backpanel" category of connectors. You should be able to find both right-angle and vertical tails. Plus some are also available with solder-less compression fit posts which are just pressed in to the pcb. Yes, I had done a search at digikey - those parts are similar to what I'm looking for - but not quite right (I said sbus as that was the closest connector I could think of that was similar) - I'm looking for male and female pairs, pcb mount, with ~26 pins, ~44 pins, ~50 pins and ~68 pins. I tried looking in connectors / parallel (which is where that one connector is in for a category), and all I seem to be able to get are centronics type connectors which I could probably make work, but I would prefer pins in a fairly solid connector. I need both verticle mount and right angle mount.... -Tony > Did you search on sbus at Digikey? > > Are those diagrams what you're looking for? > > > -----Original Message----- > From: tony@ELROYNET.COM > Sent: Jun 23, 2004 10:42 PM > To: PICLIST@MITVMA.MIT.EDU > Subject: [EE:] Trying to determine part name... > > Hi All, > > I'm trying to locate a part over on digikey, and I don't know what to=20 > search for.
