For the schematic, http://www.5v.ru/psp.htm is promising if you can
either read it, or deal with not being able to read it. (There's a
mostly-readable PDF linked at the bottom)

As for the protocol, refer to Pista or PICP for Linux. (Too lazy to
look up the links myself)
