        A boatload of examples out there. You could have a look my logic
analyzer project:

it connects a 16F877 to a PC and includes the source code of both the
PIC and the PC's client software. Most tranfer of data goes PIC->PC,
however modifying it to go the other way as well is very simply. TTYL
