Hi all. So, in my ADC project, I've pretty much finished up the board. It's all surface mount, and I managed to get all the traces on one side. There are two ground plane/copper pours, one around the digital section, one around the analog section, both connected to their system's seperate grounds. Power is being fed by two 78L05s, one for analog, one for digital. So my question is this: I want to make the back of the board another ground plane, just for (hopefully) improved shielding. There will only be one connection to it, but I'm not quite sure where to pull it from, the analog or digital ground? So far, the best idea I've come up with is to use the ground from the input to the regulators to ground the back of the board. Good or bad idea? Comments? Suggestions?
