Dave, It is ABSOLUTLY NOT your fault. Mr. Singer is no longer with the PICList (again) and was never elected "topic tag police" by any authority which I am aware. Had he sent one of us admins an email off list complaining about it, I might have suggested that you should have posted it as an [AD]: but since he decided to make a stink ON-LIST, he is off list. Just incase that wasn't clear: [AD]: would probably have been a better choice, but it totally isn't a big deal and since you are a valued longtime member in good standing, I wouldn't have done more than bitch at you off list even if you had posted it with a [PIC]: tag. If anyone sees something that doesn't sit right with them, PLEASE DO email an admin OFFLIST. No matter what it is, even if you just "think" that someone might be offending, drop us a line. But DO NOT MAKE A STINK ON THIS LIST!!!! Yes I know I'm shouting. It's one of the few things I'm good at... Just ask my kids. And finally, Mr. Singer is a known troll and will not be welcomed here for (another) good long time. Maybe eventually he will find another hobby. --- James Newton: PICList webmaster/Admin mailto:jamesnewton@piclist.com 1-619-652-0593 phone http://www.piclist.com/member/JMN-EFP-786 PIC/PICList FAQ: http://www.piclist.com > -----Original Message----- > From: pic microcontroller discussion list > [mailto:PICLIST@MITVMA.MIT.EDU] On Behalf Of David VanHorn > Sent: 2004 Jun 20, Sun 07:57 > To: PICLIST@MITVMA.MIT.EDU > Subject: Re: [EE: ] Looking for work > > At 11:47 AM 6/20/2004 +0100, Peter Moreton wrote: > > >The original poster did not advertise any product or > service, he just asked a sensible question about the present > state of the embedded job market; The post was not an advert > so no [AD] tag is required. > > > I had no idea I would generate so much controversy. > To those I apparently offended, I apologize. > > -- > http://www.piclist.com hint: PICList Posts must start with ONE topic: > [PIC]:,[SX]:,[AVR]: ->uP ONLY!
