Correct, except when the receiving party has an EC VAT number, in which case the goods can be sold ex-VAT and the receiving party is responsible for paying his local VAT. This can make a difference, because 1. as a company it is cumbersome to deduct (get back) VAT payed in another EC country, and 2. the VAT percentage varies between the various EC countries. > Incidentally, Customs decided to open my WISP628 upon entry > into the UK. I still don't understand why they did that. Maybe they suspect something illegal. You can't trust anything coming from the Netherlands, acn you? :) Wouter van Ooijen -- ------------------------------------------- Van Ooijen Technische Informatica: www.voti.nl consultancy, development, PICmicro products -- http://www.piclist.com#nomail Going offline?
