And you didn't think to check this out BEFORE your purchase? And if it is 'junk' why did you buy it? > Of course, everything I've ever looked for has been > available on the RadioShack.com (US version) but I > can't order from that site because I'm in Canada. Well, you can contact a USA store and have them ship you something you can't otherwise get. I wanted their IR sensing card (glows orange in IR) and one of their more knowledgeable staff took my CC details and mailed me the product. > Who ever would've thought that RadioShack would get so > bad that they don't even carry resistors! They stopped being "the parts place' many years ago. They simply were not selling enough product to cover their costs. And the electronics hobby is dying out because young people cannot easily get parts. (Chicken and egg problem). With the likes of Digikey, Mouser, Jameco, Newark, etc. why would anyone bother with a retail parts store? > Anyone wanna join my boycott of RadioShack Canada? I doubt that they'd notice. But if you write a letter to their 'customer support' address, you might get a response with a way to buy your replacement tips. It could just be an oversight by their purchasing department, and they'll never know, or do anything about it, unless you tell them. In other words, tell them your problem, and give them a chance to fix it. They are just as human and able to makes mistakes as you are.
