>2. Get my schematic and board back in synch? :-(( Board and schematic out of synch happens occasionally. The solution is this: Constantly save backup versions of your files. THis is true in Eagle, in C, in ASM, in MS Word, in Notepad, in Visual Basic, in Paint, in anything. If you make a big, signifigant change to your project, save as projectv2.sch. Then if you make another big signifigant change to your project, save it as projectv3.sch. Then, when your software eventually crashes/locksup/screwsup, as all windows software is wont to do, you go back to the previous version and reinsert the last few changes, after a clean cold boot. Always put new info into the highest rev level, and keep all the old ones intact. I tyupically get to 60 or 100 rev levels in a project before it is done. I might save three of four revs in a day. Also, whenever the program is idle, (I am thinking about something) I idly hit the save button while thinking about the next track to route. "Only save stuff you don't want to enter in again" is my rule, and of course that means save nearly every change. Unfortunately, as far as I know, if your schematic and board are out of synch and you have no backups, you are screwed and need to enter the whole schematic in again. Print the one you have and try again. Then start saving religiously, saving backups and new revision levels. We used to work in an office with 6 Autocad stations. If someone left their desk, and the last command on the screen was not "SAVE", then when that guy returned from getting coffee, the command prompt would read "FOOL!" I have had this out of synch problem most when deleting stuff in the BOARD program in Eagle. Generally this is a bad idea anyway. -- Lawrence Lile Hopkins Sent by: pic microcontroller discussion list 06/15/2004 04:41 AM Please respond to pic microcontroller discussion list To: PICLIST@MITVMA.MIT.EDU cc: Subject: [EE:]Eagle - How can I How Can I :- 1.
