I'm aware that you can BUY all kinds of different things, but the point is to modify something to work for free. On top of that I doubt radioshack canada sells those adapters, they hardly have anything anymore. Not to mention the fact that I'm learning to HATE RS232 and will probably stop using it altogether very soon. Also, as I said in a previous post, it would be nice to not have to load any drivers for the device to work, just install the program and it works. But anyway, thanks for the re-info, I'll probably end up getting one of those FTDI chips when I get some cash.
