Wait a minut Sergio, as I said I'm willing to pay for a bootloader but you said I have to buy the XCSB Pro compiler to get the bootloader. I said I will pay for a bootloader not the whole compiler. That is absolutely correct, except in the case where the author gives you specfic permission to do so. That's why I was in fact taking a few minutes to see what license, if any Tiny had available. > I really don't expect any recompense for helping hobbyists and=20 > students but I do for helping professionals who are using my work to=20 > earn money themselves. As it should be, again except in the case of Open Source, where the author specifically gives permission. I've always wanted an Open Source license that required royalties for commercial use. Like you I think it's fair to give back a portion of the proceeds when you incorporate someone else's work, then sell it. But issues in the distribution of royalites (You write 3000 lines of code (LOC) initiating the project, I then add a 50 LOC function enhancing it. Do I get a cut of the royalties?) and the inevitable enforcement issue had curtailed the quest.
