Since the dog is doing what it knows to do, why not just call the owners and
let them know their dog is barking. Maybe they can't hear it.

do u have one that shuts up the neighbours dog???.....perhaps a sound
activated high pitched alarm that causes mild pain to the dogs ears
everytime it barks???? this should teach the dog to shut up eventually.

or even better,  these new Toyota cars have their alarms activate the horn
instead of the hazard lights, disturbing my sleep at 5:30am.......now come
up with something that will cause the alarm to go off automatically when the
neighbour activates it, thus forcing them to switch it off at home during
the night!!.

Hmmmm I could think of so many more devious ideas.
