A wise philosophy, Russell. When my (and my wife's) phones pooped out last year, we contacted Verizon about getting new ones. The only ones they were willing to meet us on (i.e., give us the "New-every- two" a bit early) were the spankin' new LG VX6000's. Flash forward four months and we've gone through 5 of them between us (this was last August). Apparently LG didn't think that any kind of permanent connection between the main PCB in the unit and the antenna was necessary, so the contact was being "un-made". Not ready for prime-time, and it ended up costing us more after all the rebates and stuff than it would just to buy it off-the-shelf now. Add in 5 round trips to the nearest sizable city (45 minutes at highway speeds) and we'd have been better off sticking with the old ones. :-p Mike H. _________________________________________________________________ Looking to buy a house?
