> Are you locked into the Ericsson camera? It was more a "can I use these cameras" thought than a definite application - but I do have applications. I thought it would be nice to be able to use it as they are readily available locally 2nd hand at a moderate price and there is a reasonable chance that they would be adaptable to microcontroller control. These were amongst the 1st wave of cellphone cameras about 2 years ago AFAIK. They clip onto the bottom of various Sony Ericsson phones and have 640 x 480 resolution (although I am as yet unsure of the sensor resolution). My old cellphone recently expired. I ensure that my cellphone is always "trailing edge" technology - I object in principle (and in practice ;-) ) at staying up with the latest gee gaws at early innovator prices. I have just bought a used T68i (not yet received) at about 25% of equivalent new phone price. It has GPRS * (which was the main purchasing factor), Bluetooth & colour screen, all the usual stuff and one of these cameras. Russell McMahon * GPRS allows exhorbitant but bearably priced web access and the phone can act as a GSM/GPRS internet modem for a laptop -- http://www.piclist.com hint: To leave the PICList mailto:piclist-unsubscribe-request@mitvma.mit.edu
