There is a company that bills itself as a "battery rebuilding service" that might work for you. You send them the original pack, they remove the cells, and replace them with new cells of equal or greater capacity. They offer quotes by email: info@primecell.com The web site is: www.primecell.com I haven't used them, so I don't know their prices or quality of service, but this sounds like the ideal way to replace battery packs with unusual housings - just rebuild within the original package.
