Normally you use a three phase transformer that is DELTA wound on the 3 phase side and STAR wound on the single phase side. This will then provide three single phase outputs between each phase and NEUTRAL. The centre part of the STAR winding provides the neutral reference. Ask any electrician and they should be able to explain it to you. ************************************************* Roy Hopkins :-) Tauranga New Zealand ************************************************* ----- Original Message ----- From: "rad0" To: Sent: Sunday, June 06, 2004 10:26 AM Subject: [OT]: Can you get single phase AC from a three phase generator? > off topic: > > Can you get single phase AC from a three phase generator > simply by not connecting two of the phases? > > Or is something else required or can this be done any way? > > Thanks > > -- > http://www.piclist.com hint: PICList Posts must start with ONE topic: > [PIC]:,[SX]:,[AVR]: ->uP ONLY!
