You know, I go to school here at the real OSU (Oregon State) and we are located near Tek so we get a lot of donations from them etc. (and I just got an internship there. :-) ) but we have a **LOT** of tek scopes on campus. They're all brand new 2000 series DSO's and they are quite nice. I Personally really like them compared to the older scopes. Generous features, gorgeous screens and incredible sampling times. I would recommend one to anyone looking to purchase. On a side note, we had a fella come in by the name of Jack Hurt from Tek and give an IEEE presentation. He's one of the managers in the IC division and he brought in some pictures and his experience with him. Very interesting to say the least. One of the most interesting things though is that the majority of the IC's running in Tek scopes are running at over 10GHz. Yes, Gigahertz. So as for what would be better for storing data, a weeny computer or a beefed up scope, well I would take the scope any day. :-) regardless of brand, so long as it was Tek, Agilent or HP (in that order preferably). -Shawn Ken Pergola wrote: > Hi Mike Hord, > > Thanks very much for spending the time to comment on the TSD2014.
